CA defers vote on Cimatu
The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday deferred voting anew on the confirmation of Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu, citing the lack of time for members of the House to question him on pertinent environmental issues.
But Sen. Manny Pacquiao, chair of the commission’s committee on environment and natural resources, hinted that Cimatu had a good chance of being confirmed since the majority of the panel members were “happy” with his sentiments and stand on certain issues.
