Signal No. 1 up in 6 provinces due to ‘Maring’

Signal No. 1 was raised over some parts of Luzon as the low pressure area monitored by the state weather bureau has intensified into a tropical cyclone, the state weather agency said on Monday.

The storm signal was raised over Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Northern Quezon, Polilio Island, Aurora, Quirino and Nueva Ecija due to Tropical Depression “Maring,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Maring was last located 300 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon and is expected to make landfall over Aurora-Quezon area on Tuesday afternoon.

It is expected to exit PAR on Thursday afternoon.
