Fisherman killed in accident at San Roque Dam

DAGUPAN CITY — A fisherman was found dead in his boat on Saturday at the reservoir of the San Roque Dam in San Nicolas town in Pangasinan province, a belated police report says.

The body of 21-year-old Jerome Calderon, 21, was lying face down on his boat when found at about 6 a.m. at the perimeter of the reservoir straddling Barangay (village) San Felipe East.

Police said Calderon may have been strangled by the scarf wrapped around his neck, when it got caught in the boat’s propeller.
