Sorsogon town’s top drug personality killed in Albay buy-bust

LEGAZPI CITY – The most wanted drug personality in Castilla town in Sorsogon was killed in an anti-illegal drugs operation in Bacacay town in Albay province on Saturday afternoon.

Chief Insp. Arthur Gomez, spokesperson of the Albay Provincial Police Office, said suspect Erlan Mirabel, resident of Barangay Dinapa in Castilla, engaged police officers in a shootout during a buy-bust operation at around 4:30 p.m.

He died due to bullet wounds while being taken to Ziga Memorial District Hospital. –Ma. April Mier /atm
