Cops kill armed man in Ecija town

CABANATUAN CITY—An unidentified man armed with a handgun was killed by policemen at Aliaga town in Nueva Ecija province on Saturday morning.
Initial report disclosed that a group of policemen were patrolling San Juan village when they came across a suspicious man on board a motorcycle and apparently waiting for someone.

The incident happened at a dark corner of the village at 12:45 a.m. when the man was on his parked tricycle (with body no. HO 788).
The man allegedly drew out a handgun and fired at the police. He was killed when the Aliaga police men shot back. JPV
