At least 14 suspected druggies, criminals killed in 3 Metro cities

At least 14 people believed to be involved in drugs and other crimes have been killed in police operations in Metro Manila before midnight Friday.

A tally from Radyo Inquirer showed that the operations took place in Manila, Quezon City, and Caloocan, which resulted in the deaths of 14 people before midnight.

In Manila, the first suspect was killed in a buy-bust operation on Zobel Roxas at about 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Two more deaths were recorded later in Tondo, one in Lawton, and one in Sampaloc, all from Manila.

In Caloocan City, three were killed from police operations in Barangay (village) 120, and one more death was recorded in Barangay 13. Another was shot dead in Barangay Bugallon.

Two deaths from separate police operations were also recorded in Tinajero and Barangay Longos.

In Quezon City, two were also killed from separate operations.

Police operations in the past three days have killed at least 72 people, with 32 drug suspects killed in Bulacan, possibly the biggest death toll in a span of 24 hours since the drug war was launched under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte. Frances Mangosing/IDL
