Two inmates bolt out of Pangasinan jail

DAGUPAN CITY—Two inmates broke out of the Pangasinan provincial jail Saturday morning in Lingayen town.

Investigators said the escape happened at 9:25 a.m. when the two inmates were tasked to take out the trash outside the jail premises.

As they bring the garbage bags outside, the inmates reportedly ran off.

The police managed to catch one of the prisoners. The other inmate is currently the subject of a manhunt.

As of posting time, the police have yet to release the names of the inmates, as well as the reasons for their incarceration. JPV
