With a checkered black shawl wrapped around her shoulders and a cap covering half her face, Nova Princess Parojinog, vice mayor of Ozamiz City, arrived at Naia 3 after the bloody police raid that killed her father, Ozamiz Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr., her mother and other family members in Ozamiz City on July 30.
Still shaken after her arrest, the vice mayor questioned the conduct of the early morning raid.
She was dragged into the limelight of the government’s war on drugs when President Rodrigo Duterte first floated her and her father’s names among the local officials linked to drugs.
Duterte also linked her to the notorious New Bilibid Prison inmate Herbert Colanggo, alleged head of a drug triad in Misamis Occidental.
Her father denied the drug link but admitted her romantic ties with Colanggo.
