A comfortable life for all Filipinos.

This is the theme of President Duterte’s State of the Nation Address (Sona) before Congress on Monday, Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar said on Friday.

Andanar said the President started practicing delivering the written speech, which is expected to last from 40 to 50 minutes.

“The theme is a comfortable life for all. It will focus around prosperity for all, law and order, and peace,” Andanar said.

“Expect the ‘written speech’ to run between 40 and 50 minutes. I’m estimating it to be between 15 and 17 pages. The President wants it to be direct to the point,” he added.

Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella said the prepared speech was in English but the President could still veer off from it.

“The President has voiced his desire that, if possible, it should just last 40 minutes and not too long,” he added.

Abella said the speech would also feature the administration’s success in delivering government services faster.
