Public satisfaction with Vice President Leni Robredo rose in June, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, which also found better ratings for other high-ranking government officials.

The June 23-26 survey found 60 percent of respondents satisfied with the Vice President’s performance and 24 percent dissatisfied, resulting in a +36 net satisfaction rating (satisfied minus dissatisfied).

The net satisfaction ratings of Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III, House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez and Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno also improved.

‘Very good’

President Rodrigo Duterte recorded higher ratings in the same survey as reported earlier. Mr. Duterte achieved a “very good” net satisfaction rating of +66 percent with 78 percent satisfied and 12 percent dissatisfied.

The survey used face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults nationwide and had a margin of error of plus-or-minus 3 percentage points for national percentages. The survey was first reported in BusinessWorld.

Pimentel’s net score went up four points from +29 (49 percent satisfied minus 20 percent dissatisfied) in March to +33 (53 percent satisfied minus 20 percent dissatisfied) in June.

The SWS considers a rating of +70 and above “excellent”; +50 to +69, “very good”; +30 to +49, “good”; +10 to +29, “moderate”; +9 to -9, “neutral”; -10 to -29, “poor”; -30 to -49, “bad”; -50 to -69, “very bad”; and -70 and below, “execrable.”

Both Robredo and Pimentel’s net satisfaction rating were upgraded from “moderate” to “good.”
