Man shot dead outside Parañaque bar after picking a fight
A man who had picked a fight with another man in a bar ended up being shot dead outside the establishment just before dawn on Sunday.
Before he was killed, Mark Lupeña, 34 and his friends had drinks at Stoned Bar and Grill on Dr. A. Santos Avenue in Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.
Around 4 a.m., the victim was standing with his friends outside the establishment when he went back in, saying he was going to punch somebody.
Case investigator SPO1 Walter Dulawan said that Lupeña, a liaison officer for a freight company, hit a still unidentified man on the face.
Bouncers at the bar, however, stopped the two from fighting and took them outside.
Minutes later, witnesses told the police they heard a gunshot and saw Lupeña sprawled on the ground but could not identify who shot him.
Lupeña was taken to the hospital where he died an hour later. —Dexter Cabalza
