Woman, 25, accidentally stabbed during quarrel with 16-year-old BF
ALOR SETAR, Malaysia — A 25-year-old woman was accidentally stabbed during an argument with her 16-year-old boyfriend at a rented house here.
The incident is said to have occurred at 4 a.m. on Saturday at the house in Taman Desa Kubang Rotan.
It is learned that the suspect had checked the victim’s handphone on Friday night and found previous communication between her and another man.
The suspect confronted her and an argument ensued.
The woman alleged that she was hit by the suspect, and she ran to the kitchen and brandished a knife at him.
She said a brief struggle ensued, during which she accidentally stabbed herself on the left side of her rib cage.
The suspect then called the victim’s stepfather who rushed to the scene and took her to the hospital.
Police later arrested the suspect and a knife was seized from the house.
He has since been remanded for four days for further investigation under Section 324 of the Penal Code.
The victim has since been discharged from the hospital and said that she wants to break up with the suspect./rga
