Student found dead in Pangasinan river

DAGUPAN CITY-A student of a maritime school in San Fabian town in Pangasinan province was found dead in the Cayanga River on Tuesday morning, police said.

Chief Insp. Arvin Jacob, San Fabian police chief, said Roger Dacumos, a resident of Bagulin town in La Union province, was found by the school’s security guard floating on the river, some 5 meters from the school compound at 6:15 a.m.

Jacob said their reports indicated that Dacumos had been drinking with his classmates outside the school campus between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday.

The school guards and Dacumos’ classmates last saw him alive inside the campus at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday.
