Eye docs gather at Silliman U

The Optometric Association of the Philippines (OAP) will launch the month of May as OAP Contact Lens Month at its 69th National Convention on May 1-3 at the Silliman University in Dumaguete City.

Several speakers have been invited to the occasion that would highlight proper contact lens application, removal and care.

They include Dr. Sandra Stein Block, a public health diplomate of the American Academy of Optometry, and a pediatric optometrist from Illinois College of Optometry; Dr. Patrick Santiago, a retina specialist from FEU Department of Ophthalmology; Dr. Hildegardes Dineros, former PhilHealth president and CEO, and Michael Ubac, Philippine Daily Inquirer day desk chief.

Other speakers include Dr. Jeanette Romualdez, Dr. Giovanni Almachar, Dr. Bernadette Fellazar, lawyer Bayani Abesamis and Dr. Geoffrey Co. —TINA G. SANTOS
