MANILA, Philippines – The mother of slain actor Ram Revilla (Ramgen Bautista in real life) has made a desperate appeal for “justice” for her family, especially for two of her children who have been implicated in the murder of her eldest son.

“I’m in despair, pressed, cut, broken on what’s happening to my 9 children, please help us to find justice for my family,” said Genelyn Magsaysay in her November 2 post on her Facebook account, a day after Ram was buried.

In the same post, Magsaysay said that her other son, Ramon Joseph, and daughter, Ma. Ramona Belen, both suspects in the crime were “innocent”. Ramon Joseph is in jail with two other suspects and has been charged with the killing of Ram while Ramona Belen was reported to have taken a flight to Turkey to be with her husband.

“My son Ramon Joseph Magsaysay Bautista and Ma.Ramona Belen are both innocent, I raised them well,” said Magsaysay who has nine children with former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr.

Magsaysay also seemed to be sending a message to an unidentified individual whom she accused of “washing your hands and pointing your finger to the person who is innocent”.

“It doesn’t mean [that if] you have differences, my children has criminal mind to kill their eldest brother. That’s a big lie of Satan and the people Satan is using to implement (sic) his plan. May God enlighten our minds and let us all pray so that God will expose the real killer. God will judge!” Magsaysay said.

On October 21, days before Ramgen’s death, Magsaysay posted a message on Facebook, apparently addressing the same person in her November 2 account.

“If you really love your siblings you won’t let your dad do something silly to his younger 9 children . . . but you are passive, you just let him say bad words to us,” Magsaysay said.

“[A] pure heart is not just doing good, just as that but having love in your heart. Ready to cover the little mistakes of others, yes that’s love, loving unconditionally in spirit,” she said.

Also in the October 21 post, Magsaysay disclosed that her family was experiencing financial problems, that they were being “pushed to the limit”, and that she has been putting in the extra cash because the allowance given to her children has been “cut off” while, she added, “they are the ones having luxurious living, luxurious cars and houses”. She did not identify who “they” were.

In two earlier entries, October 5 and September 11, Magsaysay complained how “they did not pay for her children’s tutorial fee” and how she pitied her children “who should be recognized”.

Ramgen’s closeness to Magsaysay could also be gleaned from a July 18 exchange they had:

Ramgen: “Hi ma i miss you tampo nmn agad :) meron ako time ulet ngaun how are u?” (Hi ma, I miss you. Don’t feel hurt. I have time again. How are you?)

Magsaysay: ” I love you kasi, miss you, What do you want to tell daddy, he is asking about you, strive harder daw, you make him so proud of you.”

Ramgen was stabbed and shot in his home in Parañaque City on October 28. His girlfriend, Janelle Manahan, was shot but survived. Manahan tagged Ramona as one of the perpetrators.  Ramgen’s sister has since denied the allegation.
