Pempengco slay suspect arrives in Camp Crame

MANILA, Philippines—Angel Capili Jr., the prime suspect in the killing of international singer Charice’s father, Ricky Pempengco, arrived in Camp Crame in Quezon City around 4 p.m. after he surrendered to Cavite City officials.

Capili was escorted by Cavite and Laguna police after he surrendered to barangay (village) officials around 2 p.m. and was turned over to Cavite police by General Trias, Cavite, Mayor Luis “Jon Jon” Ferrer IV.

Upon arrival, he was immediately taken to the office of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jessie Robredo.

Capili stabbed Pempengco last Monday in San Pedro, Laguna.—Jamie and Karen Boncocan
