TUGUEGARAO CITY — A 56-year-old farmer was killed by his own carabao on Tuesday (Feb. 14) in Villaverde town in Nueva Vizcaya province.

The gored remains of Rolly Vicente, 56, were discovered by relatives at his farm in Nagbitin village.

Forensic investigators were able to determine that the carabao attacked Vicente, who died from wounds in the neck, back and shoulders, according to Chief Insp. John Ricomano, Villaverde police chief.

Vicente was last seen tending to his carabao at the farm. He slept at a hut in the middle of the fields.

Vicente’s relatives immediately sold the carabao. SFM/rga
