Ligot couple surfaces, posts bail bond

MANILA, Philippines—Wanted former Armed Forces of the Philippines comptroller Jacinto Ligot and his wife, Erlinda, surfaced Wednesday at the Court of Tax appeals to post bail bond.

The Ligot couple has allegedly gone into hiding last week after the CTA issued a warrant of arrest in connection with the tax evasion case filed against them for non-payment of P153 million in taxes.

They were accompanied by their lawyers when they posted bail of P20,000 each.
