More rain seen over Eastern Visayas, Caraga

Cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected over the regions of Eastern Visayas and Caraga in northern Mindanao, the weather bureau said Sunday.

The rain may trigger flashfloods and landslides in affected areas, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms will be experienced over the rest of the Visayas, the rest of Mindanao, the Bicol Region, Calabarzon and the povinces of Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Aurora.

Cloudy skies with light rain are expected over Metro Manila, the Cagayan Valley Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region and Central Luzon. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain will prevail over the rest of Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and the Visayas, Pagasa said.

Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough. CBB/rga
