IN THE KNOW: What’s offshore online gaming?

/ 12:02 AM January 24, 2017

Offshore online gaming is a game of chance on the internet.

Players of online gaming are located outside the Philippines and are not Filipino citizens.
They enter the game remotely by means of a communication device capable of accessing an electronic communication network, such as the internet.

The player must be registered and must pay or give valuables to enter the game. Players must also be at least 21 years old or the applicable legal age in foreign countries where they reside.

Offshore gaming operators are entities that provide the game to players, take bets and pay the players winning.
