NBI to provide protection to SPO3 Sta. Isabel’s family

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will provide protection to the family of Senior Police Officer 3 (SPO3) Ricky Sta. Isabel, one of the accused in the death of South Korean businessman Jee Ick Joo.

Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II on Monday said the family of Sta. Isabel has been receiving death threats.

“The family have been receiving very serious threats. So, I talked to Jinky (Sta. Isabel’s wife) and asked her what kind of protection do they need,” Aguirre said.

Aguirre said he also instructed the NBI to look into how they will provide protection to Sta. Isabel’s family.
