Rainfall alert up over parts of Mindanao

The state weather bureau issued a rainfall alert in parts of Mindanao on Thursday afternoon due to the tail-end of a cold front.

A red rainfall warning was placed over Bukidnon, Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Island, Siargao Island, Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in an advisory at 4 p.m.

This means heavy to torrential rains will prevail and serious flooding is expected in low-lying areas.

Intense rains or an orange rainfall alert was placed over Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur.
