LUCENA CITY—A motorcycle rider in Sariaya town in Quezon province was arrested after policemen found him carrying a brick of dried marijuana leaves, police said Monday.

Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon police director, quoting police report said policemen manning the checkpoint along eco-tourism road flagged down the motorcycle-riding suspect Jayson Reana, 26, around 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Reana failed to present any document of his motorcycle and displayed obvious nervousness.

Suspicious of Reana’s actions, the policemen noticed a wrapped box tucked in the waist of the suspect which turned out to be a brick of dried marijuana leaves weighing 480 grams worth P26,000.
