MAN KILLED  WHILE PLAYING HANTAK

ONE was dead and two were injured in separate shooting incidents in Cebu City last Sunday dawn.

Ronaldo Dullete was shot dead while playing hantak (toss coin game)  with his neighbors in barangay Basak-San Nicolas.

Dullete died on the spot with a gunshot wound in the head.

Michael Abay, the victim’s neighbor, said they were playing hantak when a man walked behind them.

Abay said a single gunshot rang out. The man said they all dropped to the ground and later saw Dullete bloodied.

Abay said they did not see the face of the gunman as the area was dark.

Police said personal grudge is being looked into as one of the possible motives of the killing.

In a barangay T. Padilla, a son of a retired policeman was shot and wounded by an unidentified assailant.

Police said Jose Capuyan Jr. was sitting outside a burger station when an unidentified man shot him, hitting him in the chain.

The assailant fled after the incident, while Capuyan was rushed to a private hospital.

NURSE CHARGED FOR SELLING NUBAIN

CHARGES were filed in court against the 51-year-old registered nurse who was arrested for allegedly selling P1.8 million worth of Nubain in Talisay City.

Leonarda Lim, a resident of Minglanilla town, Cebu, is facing charges for violating section five, article two of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Lim was arrested in a buy-bust operation by members of the Cebu Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Branch of the Cebu Provincial Police Office last Oct. 21.

An informant sought the assistance of the police in arresting Lim who was allegedly involved in selling Nubain which is considered an illegal drug.

PO3 Roy Veloso acted as a poseur buyer and transacted with Lim.

The policeman and the informant met Lim at the parking lot of a mall in Talisay City.

Lim allegedly brought boxes of Nubain.

The poseur buyer bought about P200,000 worth of nubain.
