Calapan City, 4 Oriental Mindoro towns under state of calamity

CALAPAN CITY – The city of Calapan and four towns of Oriental Mindoro were placed under a state of calamity.

Five coastal villages of Pola town were also put under a state of calamity, said Vinscent Gahol, head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office

Typhoon Nina caused heavy damage in Calapan and the northern Oriental Mindoro towns of Puerto Galera, San Teodoro, Baco and Naujan, Gahol told INQUIRER.net.  DM/JE/rga
