6 arrested in Quezon drug operations

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested six alleged drug pushers in Candelaria town in Quezon province in separate buy-bust operations on Monday and Tuesday.

Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon police director, said antidrug operatives nabbed Lovely Hermida and her associates Michael Yadan and Bryan Christopher Cuello, in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Malabanban Norte at about 12:30 a.m., Tuesday.

Police seized 2.39 grams of suspected shabu worth P4,400 from the suspects. Authorities tagged the three as major drug peddlers in their village.

Hours earlier, police arrested Rex Mercado, his brother Raymart and a certain Jenny Rose Villanueva in another buy-bust operation in nearby Barangay Malabanban Sur at about 8:30 p.m., Monday. Cops seized “shabu” weighing 3.57 worth P6,600 from the suspects. CBB/rga
