‘Marce’ weakens into tropical depression, to exit Monday night

Tropical cyclone “Marce” (international name: Tokage) continued to slow down as it weakened into a tropical depression, the state weather bureau said on Monday.

In its 11 a.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Marce packed maximum sustained winds of up to 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph.

Marce was last plotted at 235 km west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur as it moved west northwest at 13 kph.

It is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Monday night, Pagasa said.
