Magnitude 4.1 earthquake jolts Cagayan

A magnitude 4.1 earthquake jolted Cagayan on Saturday afternoon, state seismologists said.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the epicenter of the quake, which struck at 5:25 p.m, was located 37 kilometers west of Calayan.

Phivolcs also said the tectonic quake had a depth of 38 km.

Intensity II was felt in Calayan, Cagayan, while Intensity I was felt in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte.

No immediate damages were reported and no aftershocks were expected.
