Duterte OKs 7 infra projects worth P270 billion
President Rodrigo Duterte has approved seven more infrastructure projects close to P270 billion, the country’s chief economist said on Tuesday.
In a text message to reporters, National Economic and Development Authority (Neda) Secretary Ernesto Pernia said the seven projects were approved during its second meeting in Malacañang on Monday, November 14.

The Neda board also approved the Investment Coordination Committee (ICC) Guidelines on processing China-assisted projects.

- Scaling up of the Second Cordillera Highlands Agricultural Resources Management Project
- Expansion of the Philippine Rural Development Project
- Improvement/Widening of General Luis-Kaybiga-Polo-Novaliches Road to Valenzuela City
- New Cebu International Port
- North-South Railway Project — South Line
- Malitubog-Maridagao Irrigation Project, Stage 2
- New Nayong Pilipino at Entertainment City
On September 14, nine projects were approved by the NEDA board worth over P171 billion. These were:
- P74.6-billion Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) public-private partnership (PPP) project
- P37.8-billion Metro Manila Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in EDSA
- P23.5-billion first phase of the Metro Manila Flood Management Project
- P10.2-billion Inclusive Partnership for Agricultural Competitiveness project
- P8-billion second phase of the Maritime Safety Capability Improvement project for the Philippine Coast Guard
- P7.8-billion change in scope of the New Bohol Airport Construction and Sustainable Environment Protection project
- P4.8-billion increase in area of Bicol International Airport’s passenger terminal building in Albay
- P2.4-billion modernization of Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center in Leyte
- P2.2-billion modernization of Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Bohol./rga
