Gloria Arroyo looks healthy, says sister

By

Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—Officials close to Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo have claimed that her hair had gone silver, and that she had turned gaunt and had “shrunk in size.”

But her half-sister, Cielo Macapagal-Salgado, said Arroyo looked healthy on Wednesday when they had lunch and prayed together at the latter’s residence in La Vista, Quezon City.

“She looks OK, except for the brace. She can eat, walk and talk,” Salgado, a former vice governor of Pampanga province, said.

The steel brace serves to support Arroyo’s neck and head. She has been wearing it since her discharge from St. Luke’s Medical Center where she underwent a series of spinal surgeries.

Salgado claims to have survived two forms of cancer through intense prayer. Arroyo is a Marian devotee.

Once estranged

Until recently, the sisters had been estranged because of politics and alleged sibling rivalry.

Arthur Macapagal, Salgado’s younger brother, had offered to serve as liaison between the half sisters, and eventually succeeded in connecting them.

“We prayed together,” Salgado said. “I was happy to be with her even for two hours. We talked mostly about health and family.”

Salgado said she had no information as to when Arroyo would leave for medical treatment abroad.

“I pray she will be able to find the doctors who will be God’s instrument for her healing when she goes abroad,” Salgado said.

A local official who visited the former President last week claimed that Arroyo could no longer have her hair dyed because her doctors had advised her against moving her head and neck.

The official said he tried to hide his tears when he saw Arroyo’s condition.

But Salgado said her sister’s hair was jet black during her visit.

Sir, I added all these corrupt transactions in you list but I only added the items with figures. And the partial amount of corruption during the Arroyo government is roughly P238 billion. This partial amount only represents the tip of the iceberg so to speak. From my guesstimate the iceberg is as big as Alaska, isama muna yung Nunavut ng Canada.

Nakakaduwal isipin.

Healthy…Bali ang Leeg, lalong umigsi or umurong, healthy. Sa akin serious na si GMA.

The 2 questions Ms. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo need deliver to her inner conscience is: 1. Why am I so unloved by the people I served for  9 years as president and many more years in various government positions and 2, Will it be different had I not engaged in nefarious, scandalous criminal scams then swept these under the EO464 rug? These 2 questions alone define her state as a human being seen by a majority of Filipinos.  It cannot be shaped by humanitarian excuses and neither comapssion in the face of the problems left behind by her vitriolic and putrid gift to the Filipino people.  Allow her to leave? YES.  To let her leave with grace and honor? That would be like praising Al Capone all over again.

We saw with our eyes that GMA is sick as she is wearing steel brace attached to her neck.
This was attested by the doctors that operated on her. Further more news of what kind of sickness she has was broadcast daily.
Would not be enough to conclude that she is sick.If she is sick she is not healthy.
A healthy person is lively, can walk, jog, run, talk, and does everything a healthy person should. GMA cannot do that because she is sick.

On the other hand, I think most Filipinos are mentally sick. They have a sickness called paranoid. Always suspicious, no trust on anybody.
Just like when you post something in favor of Arroyo, they will always say that I am one of her men, being paid, etc etc.
With this kind of write up and accusations, the more I believe that GMA is just a victim of paranoid Filipinos a victim of paranoid accusations.

    • Anonymous

You must appreciate Filipino’s ‘paranoia’ if indeed that is your assessment not knowing if you are expert in the medical field, that said, this paranoia was triggered about by another disease known to have afflicted your benefactress called ‘kleptomania’. I would’nt blame the Filipino people being paranoid but I tend to blame your benefactress inability to control her neurotic impulse to steal.  The Filipino people now want to rest their case.

      • Anonymous

Another paranoid statement. Well, what Filipino needs is mental treatment.

      • Anonymous

That healing process could begin by leading the way to the mental institution followed by GMA and members of your Kissamygloass Club.

Could the government show that they really mean business, when they said they’re going to prosecute people who stole and cheat the Filipino people.

Find out if this person is just faking her so called illness, or that competent doctors in the country could give her the proper medical attention that she’s trying to seek abroad.

These people are liars, leaving for abroad to evade jail time is not a hard choice for these people.
Honesty is not one of  her ( maybe Gloria’s immediate family) strongest suit.

Which is which?  Gloria’s hair is white as the local official said or black as Gloria’s sister said.
I am inclined to believe Ms. Salgado.  Gloria’s hair is black, Gloria can eat, walk and talk.  The local official, obviously lied in saying that Gloria’s hair is white and cannot be dyed as the doctor advised against moving Gloria’s head and neck.

This article was calculated to elicit gloating from GMA-bashers who like to make it appear that the former president is at her wits’ end because of Penoy’s harassment. Little did they know that GMA is just laughing at all the clumsy maneuverings of the palace.  There is such a thing as conviction by publicity and conviction from the court.  With all the hearsay evidence purportedly against Gloria, she’ll have the last laugh.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_F54VUDPX3E6BQCUR5E3CG3SJMA Jonas

Yup, I’m sure God will send someone who can heal GMA from her sickness because 1, she has to face the charges and the consequential penalties and 2, to give her time to remorse.  Ergo, “I am sorry part 2″.  Mabait ang Diyos.

Go Cielo. You are never one to dissemble and lie. It is amazing that you have the same blood yet turned out so differntly. What I find weird, is that normally someone who has that condition suffers from hair loss.

Gloria Arroyo looks healthy, says sister…

I won’t believe the sister. What she says is jealousy as it is most common among siblings. It is more of a sibling rivalry. Because Gloria the little one beat her big sister.
They say, picture speaks louder than words. Look at the picture at the caption, Gloria was not yet operated then, no steel neck brace.
Yet you can see at once that she is sick. Her fingers and face are swollen and her smile is like embalmed suggesting that she is sick.
The best evidence is her latest picture.
We will know if she really shrunk and thinner than the last time. Anyway, let’s give her a chance.
