Photo of suspect in mother, daughter killing released

MANILA, Philippines—The Quezon City Police District released on Tuesday the picture of the suspect responsible for killing his live-in partner and her daughter who were both found dead inside their house at the University of the Philippines (UP) campus in Diliman, Quezon City, on Monday, a report from Radyo Inquirer 990 AM said.

According to Chief Inspector Rodel Marcelo, head of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the QCPD, the suspect, identified as Lito Arsenia,39, is responsible for killing Edna Macaraeg,39, and Jadi Magsakay,7.

Marcelo said that the picture was given to them by Macaraeg’s sibling.

The chief inspector also said that pursuit operations are now being conducted by three teams deployed in Metro Manila to locate the suspect.

He also said that the police already know where to find the suspect.—Chona Yu
