Villanueva signs up with ALA

TOP Filipino boxing prospect, Arthur “El Matador” Villanueva of Bacolod City is the latest addition to ALA Promotions’ roster of fighters.

Villanueva sports an impressive 17-0-0 record since making his debut in 2008, with 12 of these victories coming by knockout. Not only that, he floored eight consecutive opponents from late 2009 until early this year, making him a fighter worth watching out for.

Though he was unable to face Shabani Madilu in Pinoy Pride 9 due to a hand injury, ALA Promotions has still decided to make him an active boxer in the coming year, along with Romeo “Jako” Jakosalem.

Once he fully recovers from his injury and is back in top shape, he will be included in various fight cards here and abroad as part of ALA Promotions’ thrust to feature top boxers. /pr with correspondent Dale Rosal
