‘Miracle’ baby stabbed and buried alive by mom gets adopted
A Thai baby is getting a new lease on life after recovering from multiple knife attacks as a newborn, and
will now be living with his Swedish adoptive parents.
Seven-month-old Aidin was stabbed by his biological mother 14 times in February in their hometown in Khon Kaen province in Thailand. After the horrifying ordeal, his mother placed him face down in a 20-centimeter hole on the
ground and left him for dead, The Mirror UK reported.
All hope seemed lost for the infant until Kachit Krongyut passed by and heard him crying.
The 53-year-old cattle herder spotted his tiny foot sticking out the ground under a eucalyptus tree and frantically dug up the soil to save the baby, who was then rushed to the hospital.
Remarkably, it was the pressure from the soil that prevented the youngster from bleeding to death, the report said.
After recovering from his injuries, the lucky baby was then transferred to the Kaen Thong Orphanage, where he was discovered by a Swedish couple.
Meanwhile, one of Aidin’s carers, Supachai Pathimchart, said everyone in the orphanage was ”very happy” for him.”All of the safety checks have been carried out to make sure Aidin goes to a good home,” he said.
”He survived a very bad experience, but he has a lot of character and he’s happy with life. We’re very happy that he
will be going to a good home and will have a comfortable life,” he added.
The tot’s savior, Krongyut, said he was delighted that Aidin is finally getting a happy ending. ”He is very lucky. A few hours later and he might not have survived,” he was quoted as saying in the report. “I’m happy that he has found a loving home to go to. He will do well in life for sure.”
Aidin’s 42-year-old biological mother, meanwhile, was tracked down by the police and was charged with attempted murder. Khristian Ibarrola
