MANILA — Unsolved drug-related killings continue 100 days after the President took his oath office and waged a war against illegal drugs.

Virgilio Cayangan, 44, was killed inside his house on Alley 11, P. Rosales Street in Barangay Sta. Ana, Pateros, around 2 a.m.Sunday, by a group of masked men.

Cayangan, a low-value drug user, according to the barangay watch list, was the fourth fatality since Sept. 29 on the same street whose alleys serve as drug dens in Pateros.

Barangay Chairman Benny Santidad said Cayangan was the eighth drug-related fatality since July in Barangay Sta. Ana.

Meanwhile in Muntinlupa City, two alleged victims of summary execution were found in an old piggery inside the New Bilibid Prison complex in Barangay Poblacion on Saturday.

The bullet-riddled bodies were only identified through their aliases Kalbo, whose hands were tied by packaging tape and tire wire, and Nonoy, whose hands were tied by a shoe lace and packaging tape. A note saying “Pusher ako” was taped on Nonoy’s body.

The Muntinlupa police said the two were allegedly pushers from Barangay Cuyab in San Pedro, Laguna, who supplied illegal drugs in nearby Barangay Tunasan, Muntinlupa.

Police recovered 10 sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves, a cigarette pipe and 13 pieces of fired cartridges from a gun of unknown caliber.  SFM/rga
