BACOLOD CITY – A baby died on Thursday noon after it was eaten by a dog shortly after it was prematurely delivered on Thursday noon in Calatrava town, Negros Occidental, according to the police.

The gender of the infant could not be determined because its lower half was consumed by the dog, said Supt. Gil Flores, Calatrava police chief.

He said the 20-year-old single mother, who said she was 7 months pregnant, had gone to answer the call of nature on a hilly area near her home in Barangay San Benito, Calatrava, at noon on Thursday.
