De Lima’s reasoning jumbled by controversies, Aguirre says

Senator Leila Lima’s sense of reasoning may have been muddled by the controversies hounding her, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said Monday.
At a press conference, Aguirre reacted to De Lima’s statement criticizing the government for allying itself with convicts in its fight against illegal drugs.
“Si Senator De Lima nawawala na. Hindi na maganda ang kanyang katwiran because of so many issues that wafted; kaya siguro gulung-gulo na isip niya,” Aguirre told reporters.
(Senator De Lima is lost. Her reasoning isn’t good anymore because of so many issues that wafted; that’s probably why her mind is in a jumbled state.)
“Hindi na tama ang justification niya. Hindi na tama ang kanyang katwiran,” he added.
(Her justification isn’t right anymore. Her reasoning isn’t correct.)
Last week, De Lima criticized the Duterte government for asking the convicts for help in their fight against illegal drugs.

Aguirre earlier called “stupid” De Lima’s statement on why another inmate, Jaybee Sebastian, was not among the high profile inmates immediately moved to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and eventually to Building 14 following a December 2014 raid where authorities discovered that the inmates were “living in style” with posh appliances and gadgets.
