LOOK: World’s tallest teenager can’t stop growing

A 19-year-old adolescent from Michigan, USA, has been growing six inches every year and has so far reached a towering 7’8″ tall.
Hailed as the tallest teenager in the world, Broc Brown has been diagnosed with Sotos Syndrome, also known as cerebral gigantism, when he was 5 years old.
The complex ailment is as rare as they come, occurring only once in every 15,000 births.
“It’s a genetic disorder and there’s nothing that can stop him from growing”, Broc’s mother, Darci, described his son’s disease in a report from Mirror Online.
“I don’t know if he will ever stop,” she said, recalling doctor’s advice that his son would not outlive his teenage years.
With his astonishing growth rate, the gigantic teen is expected to surpass the current world’s tallest man, Sultan Kosen, who stands at 8 feet, 2 inches.
As a kid, Brown was always considered as a man among boys—standing at 5 ft, two inches, tall when he was in kindergarten. He was around 6 foot tall during middle school, and by high school he was already 7 ft tall, his mother said.
Due to his immense size, Broc’s clothes and shoes are custom-made , especially made to fit his size 28 ft, along with a massive 8-foot bed.
His community raised around $10,000 for the boy, which was used to buy clothing and shoes.
Apart from his gigantism, Broc also suffers from learning difficulties, strain on his heart, curvature of the spine and narrowing of the spinal cord.
To make matters even worse, the teen was born with only one kidney and cannot take pain killers to remedy his constant back pain.
“I do stuff to stop it hurting and it makes me feel like there’s a needle gone through it. It’s hard to deal with,” the colossal teen described his pain in the report.
