4 drug suspects killed in Bulacan buy-bust; leader escapes

CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S SANTOS — Four men were killed in a clash with policemen during a drug buy-bust operation in the City of San Jose del Monte, Wednesday night (Sept. 21).

The police operation was targeting Erick Espinosa, the alleged leader of a drug trafficking group, when he and his six companions fired at the policemen inside the Towerville Subdivision in Barangay (village) Minuyan Proper at 6:30 p.m.

Espinosa managed to escape but four of his accomplices were killed in the gunfight. The fatalities have not been identified.
