LUCENA CITY, Quezon — Police arrested four suspected drug pushers and recovered an estimated P1.4-million worth of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in successive operations in Lucena City on Sunday, and Cavite province on Monday, police said.

Senior Supt. Antonio Yarra, Quezon police provincial director, said on Tuesday, policemen arrested Jamael Dorman Madale and Alvin Gobrin Unlayao in a joint operation with Cavite policemen and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel in General Mariano Alvarez town in Cavite on Monday.

Yarra said the Cavite operation was prompted by the arrest of suspected drug pushers Liera Silverio and Rhodora Ilao, in a buy-bust operation in Lucena City on Sunday night.

Police said the suspects yielded at least 300 grams of shabu worth P555,000.

Yarra said Silverio and Ilao had told investigators that they got their supply of illegal drugs from Cavite, leading policemen to launch the operation in General Mariano Alvarez.  SFM
