CITY OF ILAGAN — A 52-year-old man surrendered to  police last week after killing his wife in Aparri, Cagayan, according to a belated police report.

Demy Taloza, 52, said he beat his 42-year-old wife, Marites, with a piece of wood on Aug. 19 for refusing to reconcile after an argument.

Marites, an overseas contract worker, had returned to take care of their ailing child, said Chief Insp. Pepito Mendoza, Aparri police chief.
