After getting mayor’s ire, doc wishes Sara Duterte well
After getting the ire of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte over a tweet regarding the latter’s pregnancy, forensic pathologist Dr. Raquel Fortun took to social media to clear the air and said she wished the presidential daughter well.
Fortun said she “never doubted” Duterte’s pregnancy and that she had two miscarriages herself.
“Came from work haven’t read everything on my TL (timeline) yet. I never doubted your pregnancy Mayor Duterte I do wish you well. Had 2 miscarriages myself,” Fortun wrote on Twitter.

In her tweet on Friday, Fortun earlier said: “Too early to rejoice over 7weeker lalo na triplets (especially they are triplets). Wait for delivery and spare oneself from heartache. PR for Lolo (Is it PR for the grandfather)?”
Duterte on Friday announced that she was seven weeks pregnant with triplets. The “lolo” was in reference to President Rodrigo Duterte.

In response to a Twitter user who said that people should just be happy for the Duterte family, the doctor wrote: “There was a time when people were more discerning about what’s personal and public. But what do I know I’m not celeb.”
The mayor slammed Fortun on Instagram, saying that the pregnancy announcement was necessary as “public officials need to explain their absence in important events.”
