15 Manila-bound flights diverted due to bad weather

Relentless rain brought by the habagat (southwest monsoon) over Metro Manila caused 15 Manila-bound flights, including six international, to be diverted on Friday from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport to other airports.

According to the Manila International Airport Authority, six international flights were among those diverted to the Clark International Airport due to bad weather.

Among the flights were: Emirates Airline flight EK 332 from Dubai; Cathay Pacific flight CX 919 from Hong Kong; Philippine Airlines flight PR 101 from Honolulu; Etihad Airways flight EY 424 from Abu Dhabi; Kuwait Airways flight KU 411 from Bangkok; and China Southern Airlines flight CZ 397 from Guangzhou.

Domestic flights diverted to Clark International Airport were: Cebu Pacific flights 5J 386 from Cagayan, 5J 622 from Tagbilaran, 5J 704 from Dipolog, and 5J 572 from Cebu; PAL Express flight 2P 2144 from Iloilo; Air Asia Zest flight Z2 353 from Tagbilaran; Cebu Pacific-Tiger Airways flight DG 6055 from Busuanga; and Air Swift flight T6 143 from El Nido in Palawan.

Another PAL flight from Davao, PR 1816, was diverted to the Iloilo International Airport.
