Obama at 55: President celebrates final birthday in office

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is celebrating his final birthday in office with a night on the town.

Obama turned 55 on Thursday. He and his family are dining at the restaurant Fiola Mare on the Georgetown waterfront. The modern Italian seafood joint is a favorite of the Obamas.

Obama and his family are leaving the White House Saturday for their summer vacation. They’ll spend about half of August on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.
