Cop killed, wife hurt by father-in-law in Cagayan
SANTIAGO CITY, Philippines—A police officer was killed while his wife was injured on Monday night by his father-in-law in Sto. Niño, Cagayan.
PO3 Joel Ballesteros was shot in the face by Joel Arcalas, who also shot his daughter Melody before trying to commit suicide by shooting himself in the head, said Senior Insp. Florentino Marallag, Sto. Niño police chief. Arcalas and Melody are being treated at a hospital.
The couple’s two children were with a neighbor when the shooting took place.
