35 QC cops headed south

/ 12:31 AM July 06, 2016

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Senior Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar told the Inquirer on Tuesday that 35 of his men from different units would be transferred to Mindanao.

In a directive which took effect on July 1, the Philippine National Police ordered the transfer of 35 of the city’s policemen from different stations and the Anti-Illegal Drugs Division to different areas in the south such as Zamboanga, Caraga region and ARMM.

“We just received the order but it does not explain the reason for the transfer,” Eleazar said, adding that the affected personnel should immediately report to their new assignments.

He said that the QCPD would not be affected by the transfer as it had over 4,000 policemen.
