Tricycle driver gunned down in Digos

DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur—A motorcycle-riding suspect shot dead a tricycle driver here on Friday evening.

Police investigators said Acmad Mala Disomimba, 38, a resident of Rabina Compound in Barangay (village) Zone 1, was passing by a mall here on board his tricycle – with his wife, Gamalia as passenger – when shot by a lone suspect who was on a motorcycle.

Supt. April Mark Young, chief of police, said Disomimba died from multiple gunshot wounds.

He said investigators were ascertaining the victim’s background, including his possible involvement in drugs.

“We could not yet determine the motive and identity of the suspect,” Young said.
