SC: Pork scam trial to proceed

/ 12:36 AM June 15, 2016

THE SUPREME Court on Tuesday paved the way for the graft trial to proceed against the alleged mastermind of the P10-billion scam involving the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF)  and four others by denying with finality their pleas that sought to overturn their indictment.

In an en banc ruling, the high court on Tuesday junked the petitions that suspected pork scam brains Janet Lim Napoles, her children Jo Christine and James Christopher, her driver John Raymond de Asis, and Senator Juan Ponce Enrile’s former aide Gigi Reyes had filed seeking reconsideration of its March 15 decision rejecting their plea against their trial before the Sandiganbayan.
