“Further updates will be announced by her office soon,” it added.

Santiago was rushed to the hospital last Monday and was moved to the ICU on Tuesday.

The senator was said to be “bearing well with her trademark sense of humor.”

Santiago lost her third bid on the May 9 presidential elections.
