Abu Sayyaf camp falls

The military scored a small victory against the notorious kidnap-for-ransom terrorist cell Abu Sayyaf on Wednesday, as troops seized one of the group’s encampments in Sulu province.

In a statement, the Armed Forces of the Philippines Western Mindanao Command (Wesmincom) announced that the 14th Scout Ranger Company had managed to take the camp of the group of Idang Susukan in Barangay Gulangan, Maimbung, Sulu after a 45-minute gunfight with the rebels.
