Special polls in Antique
THE SPECIAL elections in two precincts in Antique were reset for today, with more than 300 voters expected to cast their ballots.
In a resolution on Saturday, the Commission on Elections scheduled the special polls in Barangay Mabuyong in Anini-y and Barangay Insubuan in San Remigio from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. today (Monday).
It noted that only voters in clustered precinct No. 3 in Barangay Mabuyong and clustered precinct No. 25 in Barangay Insubuan who were not able to vote on May 9 shall be allowed to cast their ballots today.
The Comelec said the votes from the two precincts would not be electronically transmitted and would be manually canvassed.
On May 11, the Comelec declared a failure of elections in the two precincts due to the lack of official ballots, preventing 302 voters from casting their votes on May 9. Jocelyn R. Uy
